Skinny Pizza - who’d have thunk it?
A quick dinner for a catch up on all things juice with two of the little mulberries - Crystal & Evie. Ooo, loads of goss. And surprisingly delicious food! I had always avoided Skinny Pizza on the advice from my hairdresser but the meal was much better than expected.

Truffle fries. Everyone who knows me know my seemingly insatiable appetite for truffled anything. Garlic prawns with cauliflower couscous - definitely not worth it, money or taste wise. Mashed potatoes with parsley - very good, could use a little more salt, which was easily rectified.

Crystal’s pescatarian so we ordered a mushroom truffle (see the trend with truffle?) pizza. Good, not fantastic. Mushrooms were nicely grilled though and were not water logged but had a charred woody taste. Figure they must have dry fried the mushrooms. Truffle oil was a little overpowered by the earlier truffle fries methinks.

Instead of a second pizza (to be split among three girls), we opted for dessert. Sticky toffee choc cake, salted caramel banana corn cake, and a dark chocolate tart. Toffe and banana were insane. Tart was easily forgettable and a little too rich. They should have countered the heaviness of the tart with a fruitier or zingier infusionkto the chocolate filling.
Great evening catching up with Evie & Crystal. The best thing about life is the people you meet. Will definitely go back to Skinny Pizza - this time, I might go carb crazy and order two portions of truffle fries and the mashed potato. With more salt & pepper.
